Dear friends,
I have been away from my camera for quite a while. I didn’t have the desire to pick it up or to take it along on trips. Something just didn’t feel right. When my good friend Tamara asked if I could take some photos of her and her new fiance, well I couldn’t say no
She has been an amazing friend and I’m so happy to introduce the newly engaged couple! Hope you enjoy.

Love you guys,
Meghan
I’m so excited for this post, you have no idea. If you know me at all, you know I absolutely LOVE music. I love hearing new music and learning the words. I’m a musical person, having played in the award winning Wells Middle School marching band (don’t laugh, we were good! I had a lot of fun and learned a lot at the same time), but I have a lot of respect for those who can write songs, and then somehow play an instrument and sing (on key) at the same time. In front of people. I get nervous just thinking about it.
Enough about me. This post is about my new friends of More Than. The drummer (and in these photos, one of the guitarists and vocalists) works with me at my day job and he and I connected over music. It’s been a lot of fun talking to him about his band and I jumped at the chance to photograph them in action. Their third member, Tim, was unable to make the show due to a scheduling conflict, but Trevor and Ricky rocked it out at the Queen Bean in Modesto, California during their open mic night. Here are some of my favorites!

Be sure to check out More Than’s facebook page and follow them on twitter! The recording of one of their songs, “I Am Terrified” from this open mic night can be seen on their youtube page as well! Definitely check it out, I can’t get the song out of my head! Be on the lookout for more photos and recording from these guys as they plan to head to the studio in about a week and I might get the opportunity to witness it first hand. I had a blast guys, thank you so much! Tim, I will surely meet you soon.
I seem to know a lot of mother-daughter teams these days. This combo is one of my favorites as I’ve known Alexis since Mackenzie was a little girl. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing these girls a few times over the years but this was my favorite by far! We took these at the beautiful Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton, California. Enjoy!

I absolutely loved their color scheme of black and hot pink. These girls are just beautiful!

We got so many beautiful shots of Mackenzie, and then she got SUPER goofy. We got an amazing series of photos of the funniest faces you will ever see. I’ll have to post a collage to show you her true colors!

She looks uncomfortably grown up in this next one, I couldn’t believe it. We did very little posing throughout the shoot, simply moving her in the right direction and letting her do the rest to make it look candid, but MAN this girl is a wonderful model. Mackenzie – you are turning into a beautiful young woman!

This post is extra special to me. If you don’t want to read about my trip down memory lane, please skip down to the photos!
Nicole is an old childhood friend of mine – we realized that we’ve actually known each other since Ms. Milford’s second grade class! After being out of touch for a few years, we reconnected at a mutual friend’s wedding last summer and we have spent a lot of time getting to know each other again. I gotta tell ya, this girl is awesome and probably one of the strongest people I’ve ever met. We had been talking about getting together and when she got pregnant we managed to find a weekend to get together at her house in Oregon. Their baby girl is due in a little over a week and I cannot wait to meet her. So here she is at one day shy of 37 weeks!

Nicole’s main request was to get some belly shots with a gift from her sister – the mother’s ring.

You two are going to make AMAZING parents! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to take photos of you during this special time in your lives. I can’t wait to meet your little one!
Oh my gosh, this couple was so amazing it’s hard to put it into words. Kara and Matt live in San Diego but they were up visiting family and luckily they wanted some engagement photos! They are both so beautiful and it was so much fun. I really don’t have much more to say other than… here they are!

I really can’t tell you how much I love these two girls. Deborah sits next to me at my “day job” and she had constantly mentioned that she didn’t have any pictures with her only daughter. I once read that parents tend to take a lot of photos while children are growing up, but they hit that pre-teen stage and they stop taking pictures until prom! That’s crazy! Parents, this is one of the best times in your child’s life – I swear they look different every single day! Capture it before it’s gone
Anyway, I’ve now taken these lovely ladies’ portraits three times now and I am so happy with the images from this shoot. Trust me when I say this is not the last time these two ladies will appear on this blog!
Enough of me, here they are!

Here is another adorable boy who I met just a few weeks before his little brother was born! Gianni is sweet, handsome, and a total ham for the camera. Here are a few photos of him before he became a big brother! Don’t worry, I took some brother shots after the new baby, Nicco, was born – check back later for those!

This little boy is just the cutest thing ever. Since this photoshoot he has been given a little brother! Before the new addition arrived, Jack’s parents wanted to get a few photos of him as the only child. I had such a blast taking his photos, we didn’t let the rain stop us!

I can’t tell you how much I love this family. We knew Dean, who referred us to his sister-in-law Karrie who was our real estate agent, and then we met the rest of the family. I was touched when they asked me to take a multi-generation photo of the whole family, and luckily they had a beautiful venue in mind. So here they are, the whole amazing family. Thank you all for inviting me into your lives, if only for one day!

I hadn’t known them long. Karrie was our real estate agent when my husband and I bought our house a year and a half ago. When I decided to start photographing portraits I asked her if her children would be up for a photoshoot. These two remind me so much of my brother and myself, it was so much fun hanging out with them for a weekend. I have a lot of favorites but in the interest in time I’ll just share a few this time!
Check back for more of the Goold Family!
